The Joyful Freedom Approach
to energy restoration
(self-guided)
Towards Joyful Freedom: A Quick Summary
Step 1: What do I enjoy doing? Write a brief bio and reflect briefly on your childhood up to the present to help you explore and discover what you enjoy doing.
Step 2: Reflect on each attribute of energy restoration (PECAN: Purposeful, Expansive, Connecting, Awe-inspiring, Nourishing) What is my response to each quality?
· How is this quality integrated into my life?
· How important is this quality to me?
· How does it affect my energy level?
· What needs to be addressed?
· Does it bring up any identified blocking thoughts or behaviours?
Step 3: Draft a Blueprint for Lifelong Energy Creation
1. Consider and record
· What stands in the way of living in a state of full Joyful Freedom?
· What challenges have you identified i.e. blocks, attachments, fears, tensions
· Identify as many as come to mind, but focus on addressing just one obstacle at a time.
2. Draft an action plan table listing:
What do I do or plan to do that:
· Is Purposeful (leading to a tangible outcome or achievement)
· Is Expansive (extends scope, involves learning and personal growth/ development)
· Promotes a sense of Connection or belonging (aligned values, community, comfort and safety)
· Inspires a sense of Awe and wonder
· Provides Nourishment and is soothing (physical, emotional, mental and spiritual)
3. Add a column to record a reasonable timescale and another column called ‘notes to self’ to help you integrate the changes that you have prescribed for yourself.
