Hey dancers and movers in Darwin:
Let's get together regularly to dance on beaches, in the bush, on cliffs, on balconies...I have some playlists and a portable speaker to get us started.
This is part of what I have been sending out to a growing network on a Messenger site called Joyful Freedom Free-dance Community. I invite you to join in and be a part of a collective community to move, dance and live in Joyful Freedom.
Our opening dance began with an Acknowledgement to the Larrakia elders, a brief Medicine Wheel to locate ourselves amongst the 6 directions on the cliff and an exercise to seed and infuse the energetic qualities of the dancers into the developing community:
wildness, fun, grace, expression, enthusiasm, authenticity, the sacred, grace, joy, multidimensionality, openness, acceptance, beauty, sharing, honesty,
harmony, bliss, heart.
Aho! Let it be so.
Come early, participant in the opening ceremony, warm up, dance and stay afterwards. Let us honour and respect the dance, the music, each other and revel in the abundance and joy of it all!
